| Additional Important Wearing Information
Purchase a ruler so you can be certain you are applying the Static Stretcher at the same length every time. The most consistent measuring technique is to press the ruler into the pubic bone at the same location every time and with the same amount of force every time. Be sure to practice pressing the ruler into your pubic bone numerous times until you have the feel for being able to duplicate measurements.
The ruler must have at least 1/16th inch (0.0625") increments -- don’t guess and don’t approximate. This is very important.
It’s important to understand the soft tissues of the penis will completely relax at practically any setting, eventually -- but this does not necessarily mean it’s time to increase the tension. You should always be comfortable -- stretching as much as you can, but comfortable. Increasing tension is tempting and may even “feel right” -- but don't do it. The most likely result will only be skin irritations and general discomfort.
The nearly-immediate effect of the Static Stretcher System is a noticeably larger flaccid penis. As more hours are accumulated this larger flaccid size lasts longer. It will become more typical to have a larger flaccid. Eventually, your flaccid will never return to its original fully contracted size.

Urinating While Wearing the Light-Duty and Medium-Duty Stretchers
Urination should be performed either at a urinal (if privacy allows), or by sitting. Urine flow should be normal, perhaps very slightly hindered. Releasing one of the two Distal Abutment straps may remove the hindrance completely. When finished, some urine may remain in the urethra between the base of the penis and the Bio-Adhesive wrap. Gently compress the penis from the base toward the wrap to expel any remaining urine. It's important to remember to always gently milk after urinating, otherwise urine may leak afterward or when the wrap is removed. If the wrap gets wet during urination, use tissue or toilet paper to dab it dry. Never urinate forcefully. If you are unable to urinate as described above, the wrap is too tight, or the tension is too high, or both. See Indicators of Misuse.

Use by Uncircumcised Men
Men who are uncircumcised will find that wrapping techniques take longer to learn. The foreskin needs to be pulled back toward the base before wrapping. It is advised that uncircumcised men should plan several more days to get adjusted to the medium-duty device. The Light-duty stretcher can also be used to assist in learning wrapping techniques to prepare for using the Static Stretcher. If you are unable to get a comfortable wrapping technique, you may switch to using the Static Press-Vac alone. You will give up the convenience of being able to urinate while wearing the device. On the other hand however, the Static Press-Vac can produce greater forces.

Erections While Wearing
Erections are a nuisance, but of course, normal. After an erection, you will most likely need to re-wrap the Bio-Adhesive. This can be assessed based upon the level of the erection. Erections cause the Bio-Adhesive material to expand, and afterward, when the material relaxes, it may feel slightly uncomfortable. This is due to wrinkling of the skin. Users report that only mid-level to full erections create this situation. If you have an “uncontrollable” full erection, remove the device until it subsides. If you experience discomfort during a low or mid-level erection, the wrapping is too tight. Full erections should not be used as a guide for wrap tightness. It is normal to experience low to mid-level erections during wear. If the erections are due to stimulation from the Static Stretcher, they should become less frequent after a few days of wear. If you apply the wrap while not completely flaccid you will most likely need to re-wrap once the penis becomes fully flaccid. Again, this is due to wrinkling of the skin. The guide to use is comfort: the Static Stretcher System should always be comfortable. See Indicators of Misuse.

Sleeping While Wearing: USE EXTREME CAUTION!
Do not sleep with either of the medium-duty devices or the heavy-duty device!
Sleeping while wearing the Light-duty device can only be performed after at least two weeks of successful daily wearing for durations exceeding your maximum sleep time -- this isn't optional. Successful means: comfortable wearing, with no numbness, no coldness, no blanching (color loss) and no soreness. Proper wrap tightness and proper tension must be assured before wearing the device unsupervised. Sleeping while wearing can be devastating if either the wrap tightness or tension is too great, or both are too great. Grave injury is possible, perhaps including necrosis. Optimal wrap tightness and tension must be learned and achieved during waking hours. Apply at least one hour before beginning sleep to insure the wrap and tension are set correctly for total comfort and safety.
Start by setting an alarm clock to wake you every 20 minutes. (This is best practiced by taking a nap during the day.) If any numbness, coldness, soreness or blanching is present, remove the device. Never apply and begin sleep before at least one waking hour has passed. Remember, only you are responsible for your safety and well-being. It's very important to follow not only these directions, but also your body's directions and indications. If you are not 100% confident, or you experience any numbness, coldness, soreness or blanching, DO NOT SLEEP WHILE WEARING the Light-duty stretcher.

Cleaning and Caring for the Static Stretcher System's Components
Cleaning and caring for the Static Stretcher System is accomplished using regular household cleaning agents. The Bio-Adhesive wrap and the Static Press-Vac may be washed with hand or dish soap, rinsed clean and then either shaken dry or patted dry on a clean, lint-free towel. However, you may apply either of them while still wet.
Washing these materials should be performed frequently to remove hair, skin oil and other possible contaminants. During testing, these materials were washed at least once a day, sometimes more frequently. Note that contaminants may cause irritation when pressed against the skin of the penis for long periods of time. Contaminants include body hair and lint from clothing.
The Straps may be washed in the same manner as the wrap, however, drying the material is more difficult. Allow the Straps to air-dry or use a hair dryer on a very low setting. Since the Straps do not contact the skin they don't require frequent washing. The bottoms of the Distal Abutments should be cleaned daily. This is performed either by applying a tiny spot of hand or dish soap and then rinsing thoroughly, or by quickly and firmly rubbing the bottom of the abutment on a clean cloth surface to produce a "friction-wash". It's important the Distal Abutment bottoms remain clean and free from skin oils. Avoid touching the bottoms after cleaning them. There is no need to remove the straps from the abutments during cleaning of the abutments. However, care should be used to avoid wetting the straps unless drying time is allowed.
Do not wear the device if the straps are wet, as wetness reduces their elasticity. Also, if you perform physical activity which causes you to sweat, you should wash the device more frequently.

Strenuous or fast-motion activity
Do not wear the rigid configurations of the Static Stretcher System during any activity which requires you to move in such a way as to cause the device to press into your body. Remove the device for strenuous or fast-motion activity.
The Light-duty Static Wrap may be worn instead of the rigid configurations in such situations.

Discomfort due to infrequent application
Discomfort during wear that arises after time is generally due to skin wrinkling. While it is possible to wear any of the devices without re-applying for many hours, this is discouraged except for the most experienced users. During testing, novices who wore the devices for more than eight hours at a time without re-applying developed redness on portions of the skin after one week. To circumvent potential irritations, plan to re-apply every four to six hours -- even if you are experiencing no discomfort. Also, Do not endure pain. Pain indicates skin wrinkling -- if this is allowed to continue you may develop redness. Instead, simply re-apply.
In the first week or so, you will most likely need to re-apply every hour or two until you get accustomed to particular configurations. Some men required up to two weeks to “condition” themselves to using the various configurations.

Mild Aching, Mild Soreness and Fatigue
It is common to experience mild aching during wear. This condition can also persist after removing a device. This is a normal part of the growth process. “Mild” may also be described as “dull”. However, at no point should there be any pain -- not even mild or dull pain. The aching or soreness should be more akin to a very mild muscle workout.
If you experience any pain or ache or soreness which is greater than mild, review your tightness and tension settings -- they should be reduced. Also review the video instructions.
The Light-duty device produces mild aching in the mid-shaft area.
The Medium-duty device produces mild aching in the mid-shaft area and for some users it also produces mild ache at the base.
The heavy-duty device produces the same conditions as the light and medium-duty devices, but also produces ligament soreness (often known as “ligament fatigue”).
